MOULD REMOVAL

MOULD REMOVAL

If your ceilings, carpets, walls or around your windows smell damp this could be black mould forming even though it may not be visible.

Mould first appears as a fungus. It spreads very quickly in the air and attaches itself to many different types of surfaces most commonly in Bathrooms, Showers, Walls, Ceilings, Basements.

Mould thrives in areas that are insufficiently ventilated or damp. Lack of ventilation also leads to condensation which can cause black mould.

It is very important to remove it as quickly as possible as dampness and mould are a health hazard. If you are regularly exposed to mould you are more likely to have respiratory issues, it can also affect asthma and some allergies.

Mould, condensation and moisture can also cause damage to your belongings, clothes, shoes, carpets, etc.

What is necessary is to destroy the fungus and remove mould. Once treated, if the air flow in that area is not improved considerably the mould could return. And in order to minimise the risk, it may be necessary to install a vent or extractor fan or keeping windows open wherever possible.
